trike-a-thon

Keegans preschool had a trike a thone to raise money for the school. Keegan was so excited to collect money from the family and take it into school...but even more excited to go buy a cool blue bike helmet with flames and ride that day. I use the word "ride" loosely since he decided that the older kids that were there to help should just push him. I am not kidding...my kiddo who is a speedster on his trike at home and wants a big boy bike for his birthday just sat back and relaxed while some sweet girl pushed him to the finish line. It was a fun day and Keegan was very proud of his racing number and his gold medal.

I also got to help in Keegan class that morning and this experience simply confirmed my previous notions that I have the sweetest little boy in the world. My baby is getting so big!!!!

Keegans debut!!!!!

Here are some pics from Keegan's preschool Thanksgiving performance. My shy little man has blossomed into quite a little ham in a few short months of preschool. It was sooooo cute to see him and his little classmates...and I had to fight of tears. I think it was partly pride and also realizing that my baby is not a baby any more.
They sang 4 songs...all very cute with lots of jumpin and wiggling around. Keegan laughed on and off throughout the entire performance. You could hear his laughter over 3 classes of preschoolers singing:)

is he the cutest little boy ever or what????

Trick or Treat...

We had some friends over for dinner, then went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Keegan and Reese decided to make wardrobe changes since the party last weekend. Thank goodness for the dress up closet;) Keegan was Indian Jones and I am pretty sure this was just an excuse to carry a whip...and Reese put and unique spin on Dorothy by refusing the ruby slippers and putting her tootsies in pink cowgirl boots. I was arguing with her about the shoes since I wanted it to be just right...then I suddenly had flashbacks to my own childhood. I was quite the tomboy when I was little but my mom always wanted m to be the cute little girl with pigtails and bows and cute little Mary Janes. My sister Stephanie made me a jellybean costume that year (a clear plastic bag filled with hundreds of little multicolored balloons). I had red tights on and my mom had cute shoes for me. I refused and ended up wearing cleats!!!! So...since I immediatly realized that her stubborn behavior as handed down from yours truly, Reese won and had her boots. I have to admit...it looked pretty darn cute and I truly do hope she is always a little girl who has a little spunk and independence (I reserve the right to retract this statement in approx 13 years!!!!). Anyway...they had soooo much fun and got lots of loot. Of course Kurt and I quality control checked it after they went to bed and it just so happened that all the miniature snickers were suspicious and needed disposed of;)

Hope everyone had a spooktacular weekend!!!!

nana's visit....

While Kurt was in Florida "working", my mom came to visit/help with the kiddos. I was TERRIBLE at taking my camera anywhere, so I dont have much photograhpic evidence of the trip, but we had a great time and the kids were spoiled rotten within a few hours of her arrival. Saying that they were spoiled within the first few hours is no exaggeration either. They took naps after getting home from the airport and then we were off to the petstore to buy their new hampsters. Keegan named his John Wayne and Reese named hers Pumpkin. The kids are in love with their new pets and actually help take care of them more than expected.

We did some shopping (grandma likes to make sure the kids have light up shoes), went to the duck pond, and just enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather outside.

Here are the few pics I have from ouur week...

In memory of Katie:)

So...most of you know that I am not a big fan of sad posts...but this one just has to be done. Last weekend Kurt and lost a very special friend. We met Katie and Jon during our crazy time in Korea. Every once in a while you meet someone that you instantly click with...and Katie was one of those people. Moving every few years leaves us with countless friends...but Katie was truly one of a kind. There is not a single memory of her that does not leave me smiling or laughing outloud. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend.

Katie, we are so blessed to have known you. You will be forever missed!!!! John, Clark and Quinn...you are in our thoughts and prayers always. I know Katie is watching over you and will make sure you laugh and smile often!!!!

This is one of my favorite pics...and as I have time to locate more I will share those too.
