First round of allergy test results are in and Reese is allergic to 4 foods...
BARLEY
GARLIC
PORK
and RYE
These allergies could go away as she gets older...but we need to avoid these foods for now. They will test again in 6 months to see. Next week is the prick test that will test mostly for outdoor stuff like pollen, mold and pet dander.
Amamzing how many baby foods have garlic and rye in them...so now we have to be careful label readers.
Not really an answer to the skin issues though since she has never had any of these foods. So hopefully we will figure out what is causing her eczema next week.
I will try to post new video of her crawling this weekend...she is all over the place and getting very fast. And all she wants to do is crawl!!!! Kurt and I are thinking about getting her a helmet for Christmas since she has already bumped into the entertainment center and coffee table several times:) Keegan tries to keep her contained but he isnt very effective.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Ours starts tomorrow with the squadron Christmas party and then lots of holiday festivities follwed by a tree lighting in our neighborhood on Sat.

A Year Ago Today
A year ago today the world lost an amazing man. I honestly can not think of any words appropriate enough to write. I just wanted to make sure that Kurt and I did our part to make sure that Troy "Trojan" Gilbert and his family were never forgotten.

Please keep all the service men and women and thier familes in your prayers.
Here is a new paper article that was in the local paper. What a lucky man to have such a beautiful wife and children to look down on from up above!!!! (you may have to cut and paste it since I am having trouble getting the actual link on here)

Ta Daaaaa....
Here is Reeses crawling debut. She started on Thanksgiving but was really good the day after. Now she is working on her speed!!!!
She is so proud of herself and is all smiles as she cruises along...
And the best part is that she is wearing herself out so much that she is even sleeping through the night most nights:)

Reese had her first of five days of allergy testing today. It was the patch test where they put various food directly on her skin. Thay have to stay there for 48 hours!!!! Here is my poor lil girl with 23 different food stuck to her. She has been a trooper though and doesnt seem too bothered by it. We will see ow she feels when they do the needle test. I am guessing she wont be so patient and understanding!!!!!

hangin with the looneys
So...I wanted to get a Nintendo Wii as a gift for family. Started my hunt about 4 weeks ago and havent found a single one. So...like any rational person I decided to head out at 4am the day after Thanksgiving try to get one. I started at Toys R Us...and was met by a few hundred people waiting at 4:15 in the morning. Yes...I said a few HUNDRED. So...I decided that I should not waste my time and decided to head to Target. As I started driving I realized that Target would be just as insane and started to give up hope. There is a small game store in Buckeye (where we live...very small town...a bit away from the main stream part of the west valley) that opened at 7am. I got there a about 5am and there were only 2 people in line. I was umber three...and when I got to the storefront there was a sign saying that they anticipatd 16 Wii's!!!! For those non gamers out there this is a TON and this is the hardest thing to find this holiday season. Anyway...long story short...I waited outside for 2 hours and eventually there were about 50 people in line. I GOT A NINTENDO!!!! Kurt thinks I should put it on ebay and give cash as a gift and keep the proit but I refuse. I headed home exhausted but soooooo excited. There are some VERY serious black Friday shoppers out there!!!! Later I went to the grocery store and found the lights for the tree that I have been wanting. I wanted red and green...and no place had them. I found red and green individually...but not on the same strands. So....the day got me in the Chrismas spirit BIG TIME!!! The tree is up and I just need to finish decorating it tomorrow and make popcorn and cranberry garland. Outside lights and a few more decorations inside and we are ready. We even have almost all to our shopping done!!!! Cant wait to see Keegan and Reeses faces tomorrow when they wake up to a tree in the living room!!!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and as found themselves in the spirit of the holidays also...
Will have more pics soon...

Happy Turkey Day...

We wish you and your family a wonderful and relaxing day spent with friends and loved ones.
This year we are thankful for all of our blessings...but most of all the fact that we are together as a family. Last years holiday season was not so easy, so this year we are going to enjoy every moment. We have 2 wonderful children, amazing friends and family, and a life that we simply would be insane to complain about.
Please add all the military members who are away from their loved ones this season to your list of things to be thankful for.
OK...now go eat some turkey and save some room for pie. You have to love a holiday that includes pie:)

The D10 fam
The pics are of Keegan watching the Macys parade in the morning (he waved to all the floats), helping mommy in the kitchen (he is a mean little pecan smasher), the turkey fresh out of the oven (mommy only cooked a turkey and a desert...HOORAY!!!), Keegan in his shades on the way to freinds, eating dinner (my little vegetarian ate a peice of TURKEY!!!) and hanging out at Uncle Tam and Aunt Des' house after recovering from a meltdown and a catnap for Reese. We thought we were going to have to head home...but a little sleep in the car and they were good...so we turned back around and continued the festivities.

hooray for 1/2
Reese is 6 months old now...and other than some serious eczema is doing wonderful. At her checkup she weighed 15 pounds 4 ounces and was just a little over 25 inches long. She was in the 25th percentile for height and 50th for weight. She is very active,,,rolling over, up on all fours trying to crawl,,,and smiling at just about everyone she meets. She is a great eater and seems to like peas the most out of the things we have offered her. We had a neighorhood block party last night and she was trying really hard to get a hot dog though. So maybe she wont be a vegetarian like her brother:)
Unfortunatly for the entire D10 fam, the same day as Reeses 6 month appt we all got shots. Well...Reese got her shots, Keegan and I both got flu shots...and daddy had to get the flu mist. He wasnt very fond of this method and was convinced that he had the flu about 5 minutes afterwards.
Not too much else going on here. Just a semi relaxing weekend combined with cleaning the house and running errands. We are very excited about the holidays coming up and I am itching to get all the trees and decorations up in the house.
We hope everyone is doing great...

Annie, Kurt, Keegan and Reese

Showing off her sitting skills. She is very strong and has good balance...but falls over quite often b/c she lunges for Keegans toys. Already giving the big bro a run for his money:)

Enjoying the swing with daddy. Reese had her first experience with the swings in San Diego. Now that she is sitting up better and a little stronger daddy gave her some good pushes. She just squealed and smiled the entire time. I think she is going to be our little adventuous child. Keegan is definatly more cautious and has to do things at his own pace. Reese just jumps in!!!!

A funny face when eating applesauce. So far Reese prefers veggies. She made squishy faces with both applesauce and banannas...but will scream for more squash and peas.

Reeses new trick in the swing. No idea how she does this. The swing was a safe place for Keegan until he was a year old. We cant leave Reese in it alone at all anymore. She has also learned to sit up in the swing.

the videos I promised...
Had some issues getting the videos downloaded...so here they are...FINALLY!!!!
Reese wants to do what Keegan does...and the only way to really do that is to become mobile. She is realy good at rolling herself all around the house...but she is working diligently to learn to crawl. Keegan gets very excited when she moves forward a little and cheers her on...unless she is too close to his toys in which case he gets a little concerned.
Keegan is really starting to talk and repeat things. Of course it is WAY more understandable to mom and dad. The other day we saw horses going down the side of te street near home...so we pulled over to watch them. When Kurt got home he asked Keegan what he did that day. He kept saying "daddy...horses". I wasnt around so Kurt was a little confused. Keegan kept pointing the the front door and saying horses. He also threw a fit at dinner the other night and was pointing at the freezer saying "goggles"...which we figured out translated into WAFFLES. So...as cute as the speech thing is it is also a new way of asserting independence which is not always fun. My favorite things in the world is that Keegan now says "Mommy, please" when he wants something and goes and kisses Reese and says "night night sissy" when she takes a nap or goes to bed:) He is obsessed with Thomas the Train and says "Mommy, choo choos please" at least 20 times a day when he wants to watch TV. Such a sweetie and just getting so big. I have a hard time imagining how he could possibly be 2 in January!!!!!

random pics and new video
No real order here...just a few pics and a few videos of the kiddos...
The one of Keegan looking oh so fashionable is from our squadron farewell which was a redneck theme at the bowling alley. The best costume was the squadron commander who you can see behind Kurt in one photo. It was a fun night. Kurt conveniently had a Jack Daniel Tshirt, cowboy boots from our stint in New Mexico and his custom " I Love Beer" belt buckle from Korea which in true redneck fasion doubles as a bottle opener.
Oh...and I think Keegan may have a future as an underware model. Potty training isnt really his thing right now though so th choo choo train and spiderman underware will be tucked away in the drawer for a while:)
I think everything else is self explanitory...
Enjoy...

My TIVO thinks I am a loser...
So, for those of you who do not own TIVO (by the way...you should...it is the GREATEST invention EVER!!!!) there is a place called "tivo suggestions" that observes all of your television viewing habits. The brain inside the TIVO container decides that it knows you well enough to make suggestions for other shows you might like...
Well..during a dull moment a few weeks ago I decided to see what TIVO thought I should be watching. NO KIDDING...the 1st 30 suggestions were all cartoons on PBS, Disney, Nickelodian etc. Keep in mind that Keegan only watches Sesame Street and Thomas, so it was VERY rude of this electronic device to think that we needed to add 30 more childrens programs to our list of recordings!!!! After the cartoons it suggested 3 soap operas and then endless cooking shows. In order not to ignore Kurts existance there were a few military programs and sports shows listed WAY down the list. The end was reality TV and workout shows!!!! I was sooooo offended and betrayed by this recording contraption that I always cosidered a friend.
Then in the midst of my anger towards part of my entertainment system I realized that TIVO is ridiculously smart. Somehow this thing knew I was a stay at home mom and that the kids ruled this household. It also knew that I could use some 30 minute meals to make my life easier and my husband happier. It also pointed out how far down the priority list daddy is as far as TV is concerned. And, as much as I hate to admit it, it new that I really need to work out and lose some baby weight. TIVO knows that I am no longer cool enough nor do I have enough time in my day to watch reality shows on MTV or the newest sitcoms...but that both Kurt and I know every one of Elmos puppet pals and all the engines on Thomas the Train.
Scary how perceptive this litle gadget is. So,I guess if you really want to know the truth about who you really are you can turn to your DVR:)
Thats it for tonight...no new pics...sorry...
