playing catch up..

A busy past few weeks , but some of these pics were just too cute to share. I will have TONS more soon including the kids in costume and Keegan's new skill!!!!!

As far as these pics go...

Keegan and Reese LOVE their little motorized cars. Keegan can ride his all over the place while Reese tends to crash into things and go off roading. I am still impressed with her sense of adventure though!!!!

We painted mini pumpkins last week. We stole the idea from Keegans cousins...and what a great idea it was. Paint, glitter glue and googley eyes make for a cute pumpkin!!!! The kids were a mess but it was all worth it. Reese carried one around for DAYS!!!!! She can now say "punkin" too.

Reese and I had a little photo shoot one afternoon when Keegan was still napping (and Reese should have been...but that is another story!!!) I thought she looked so cute in her Bermuda shorts and adorable Gymboree sandals. She kept showing me her feet and saying "pretty"

And...last...we carved our pumpkins. Kurt has been working weird hours...so we just couldnt wait for him any longer. He didnt miss much since the kids thought the pumpkin guts were disgusting and I ended up doing all the work while they watched Toty Story. I was so tired after getting them all done that I forgot to take pics...but we did a pirate theme this year and also have a mummy and a buzz lightyear. Pics will be on here soon!!!!

Check back in the next few days...but these should tide you over:)

I am pretty sure the pumpkin is the biggest thing in this pic!!!!

Can you tell that these 2 love each other??? Cute...yet gross at teh same time!!!!

Reese imitating the dog:)

Keegan wanted to dress up like a pirate to decorate pumpkins. I have NO idea why...he just mentioned that pirates like to carve pumpkins. He didnt even know that I was going to make some pirate pumpkins:) His imagination has gone wild lately!!! good thing I just happened to have a few pirate accessories!!!!

Hmmmm...that looks gross...we are all done...you finish mom!!!!!

Putting on Reese's eyepatch!!!

Why would you want us to stick our hands in there????

My lil pirate

I think this is the perfect facial expression for a lil pirate girl....ARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Some videos...

I know, I have been a slacker...epecially compared to when Keegan was little. But here are some vidoes of Reese. She is really starting to talk and repeats just about everything. These videos are not the best...she gets a little camera shy. Her favorite words are -mommy -daddy -doggy -duck -thank you -NO -Keegie (her nickname for big bro) -milk -all done -shoes -OFF -No dog -papa and boppa (scoring BIG points with the grandpas!!!) -airplane -cow say moo moo -quack quack -pumpkin -snack and -night night, love you (follwed by blowing kisses) Oh...and make sur eyour speakers arent up too loud. I think Keegan may have found his musical calling!!!!! Who knew the Lincoln Logs could have turned into such a loud, obnoxious toy. I think the rest is self explanitory. Leave a comment by clicking on the words "comment" at the end of the post
ENJOY!!!!

The Great Pumpkin....

We met some friends at the pumpkin patch....even though it was in the 90s. Something REALLY not right about picking pumpkins out in flip flops!!!! The kids enjoyed the animals (Reese called everything a dog and a duck), the sandboxes filled with corn (which was in their diapers when we got home), and the corn maze (until Keegan fell down). We even took a train ride...and by a train ride I mean some old metal barrels converted into train cars pulled by a 4 wheeler. The kiddos really had fun and we ended the day by picking out pumpkins. Keegan looked around very carefully and then found one that was calling his name. Of course it was $13...but I just couldnt tell him no after I made a big deal about him picking it out al by himself. Besides, Reese made up for it by chosing a little pumpking covered in warts. Since it was too hot for hot cider and fall type foods we went through the Panda Express drive thru on our way home and called it a night.

Enjoy the pics:)

Have a wonderful weekend...

Uncle BAM...

We spent Saturday evening with Tam And Desiree. We have known them....well, it seems liek FOREVER. Tam and Kurt started pilot training together 6+ years ago and have only spent a few years apart. We met Des when we were in AZ the last time and while she was in Japan with Tam she visited us in Korea a few times. I am pretty sure the two of us were an economic stimulus package for the Korean retail market:) Oh the wonderful purses!!!! We are so lucky to have them here at Luke with us...even if hectic lives get in the way of us getting together as much as we would like. They are expecting their first little boy in February. Anyway, we hung out at their house today and had a truly wonderful evening...and found a good home for lots of baby things that are not needed in the D10 house any more!!!! How sad is it that my kiddos have outgrown all things babyish:(

Keegan woke up from his nap saying "is it time to see uncle BAM". We had a wonderful dinner, caught up a little (as much as you can with kids running around anyway), and the kids were spoiled rotten. Toys and games, crayons, cupcake decorating, playing with their awesome dog Misha, and Keegan got lots of guy time with Tam, Shredder, and Daddy. Funny enough the kids favorite things were playing with Shredders IPHONE and in the dog cage. Apparently Santa should reevaluate his plans and consider shopping at Petsmart and the Apple store this year:) Did you know you can turn your IPhone into a light saber. Keegan was fighting off evil for a good 15 minutes:)

Tam and Des...thanks for a wonderful evening. Keegan kept telling me how happy he was that you were having a baby and that he was going to sing him "twinkle twinkle little star". We cant wait to meet your little man soon!!!!

Here are a few pics from our evening...

Mom...Shredder has an IPhone...can I have one too????

Keegan is pretty sure that he can work this new gadget...and who doesnt need a phone that you can watch Elmo on????

Keegan hard at work:)

Tam and Kurt....they love each other even if one is a Buckeye and one is a Nittany Lion:)

Going fishing

Keegan gets some company in the dog cage...

Now Reese and Misha want in on the action.

Does this face not sum up how excited he is about this cupcake. The threat of not getting a cupcake was the ONLY reason he ate his dinner.

More chocolate induced excitement!!!!

Aunt Des won his heart when she pulled out the sprinkles!!!!

Reese didnt have the patience for sprinkles....and ate the top off the cupcake. Like mommy she is an icing girl!!!!!

Keegan with Des...she spoiled him rotten!!! I am pretty sure he is in love!!!! Typical man...give him food and a few new toys to play with and he is yours forever!!!!

Keegan flying. Blurry...but sooooo cute!!!!!

BOO!!!!

Today Keegan and Reese hosted the squadron playgroup and we did a Halloween theme. The kids dressed up...well, kinda:) They ran around like crazy people, ate lots of snacks and then trick or treated...well, kinda:) The basic idea is that it is impossible to truly organize a group of toddlers. Everyone had fun though and I think even the moms got a little tiem to chat and enjoy themselves...

Here are some pics...

Enjoy...and Happy Halloween!!!!

Reese is ready fo the party. She is sitting by our fake pumkin patch with her fake smile!!!!

Keegan decided that he liked the black hair and face paint of the vampire get-up...but not the cape. No most of the playgroup he just looked like a homeless, dirty kid. Once it was time to trick or treat he changed his tune though. I guess a cape is only worthwhile when sugar is involved.

Grace decided to make her lion costume just a little cooler.

I love this pic...she is just too cute and was by far the happiest toddler in costume. She even roared like a lion for everyone. She is such a performer!!!

Cameron didnt need a costume...he just decided to be an airplane.

Baby Nolan was a duck and I declared him the costume contest winner. Can anything be cuter than a baby sleeping in costume??? Anyway...he had this great bib to show his Halloween spirit. Dont you just want to pinch his cheeks!!!!

And Avery was Lil Red Riding Hood. I honestly think she is one of the most beautiful 5 year old girls I have ever seen....and she was the only one who posed instead of giving me grief for taking pics.

Parker was a monkey...and monkey who loves cars. Isnt he a cutie pie???? I am voting for him for Reeses future boyfriend. We could use a little Hawaiian in the D10 family:)

And Keegan decides to wear the rest of the costume.

He really got into the idea of being a vampire

The kids got lots of yummy treats. I am pretty sure baby Nolan had his eyes on those animal crackers.

Keegan checking out his loot. He is really going to be into walking around for candy this year. Not sure if the 4 houses on our court will be enough. The days of 10 minute lazy trick or treating are over. He even said "Trick or Treat" and "Thank" you to everyone. Awwww....such a big guy!!!!

And thanks to Felicia Keegan had his 1st pixie stick!!!! THANKS!!!!

Little Kirra enjoyed some yummy fruit with her pal Cameron. I told their moms that I would put some candy corn or M&ms in the food processor to mix in. I dont think that they thought I was funny:)

Can you tell how much Talon liked his costume. Even with the promise of candy it was a BIG "NO" It was the cutest costume ever though...from Pottery Barn...pants with stiches, the cutest velvet blazer and then this cute head. Hopefully he will decide to wear it later.

Parker still has a car!!!!!

Little Kirra with her cat onesie. I have some serious hair envy over that pony-tail!!!!

This was seriously the only pic I got of Kristen. She didnt not stop moving the entire time and when she saw my camera she hid!!!! She is so cute and gives Keegan a run for his money.

And here is our little Frankenstein with a happy look.

And...these will be boring to most of you...these are for my mom so she can see that I got a few of her genes. I planted my own planters last week and put up the fall decorations. My mom HATES Halloween and anything spooky or gross...I I just wanted her to see how tastefully we decorated. I forgot to take pics inside. Oh...and the GIANT inflatable pumpkins that Keegan just HAD to have arent pictured either...so maybe we have a little bit of tacky. But all in all I think Nana would be impressed:)
