These are a few pics from the weekend... The kids LOVE the park now that it is not soooooo hot. Reese is apparently the child who inherited the fighter pilot gene and simply doesnt think you can swing her high enough. Keegan is more like mommy and starts to look like he is going to puke when he starts pulling G's:) The kids also helped daddy wash his car. For those of you who truly know Kurt you will understand what an amazing thing it is that the children are allowed within 50 ft of the BMW. He even let Keegan sit on his lap to drive it back into the garage. Keegan told us ALL day that he drove daddy's BMW. My how having children makes you relax and enjoy life!!!! We also reseeded our lawn. In AZ you have 2 seasons of grass...and the fall/winter grass the is the best. So in a few weeks hopefully we will have pics of the kids playing in their lush, green backyard thanks to all of Kurts hard work!!!! Hope everyone else had a wonderful and relaxing weekend as well... Love the D10's

Columbus Day Weekend
We would first like to give a shout out to our homeboy Christopher Columbus for being so adventurous in the exploration department and ultimatley giving us a nice long weekend in October:) Well,,,at least that is what I think Columbus Day is about. I guess I dont really know!!!!

Big balls...
Ok...so I know the title is inappropriate...but I just couldnt help myself. We joined Felicia and Talon (who is only a month younger than Keegan) for some bowling today. Keegan loves having a lil guy his age to play with....and Reese has the energy to keep up with the boys too (and even take charge/manipulate every once in a while). It was my first experience with 2 toddlers, a slippery floor and balls bigger than they are:) They had a blast though. Keegan cried when we left and said he wanted to live at the "bowlin awweee" Here are some pics!!!
Next adventures will be Halloween playgroup and the pumpkin patch
Enjoy,,,

He loves me to the moon...
So I am writing this while the kids nap...following a morning filled with mood swings and temper tantrums (mostly from the kids). I felt the need to get a little psychological and focus on the positive in order to regroup for round 2 of my Tuesday. Kurt starts a new masters class tonight and wont be home until late...so I needed to get myself in a better frame of mind. So...here is what came to mind...and it did the trick...
Over the weekend I took Keegan on a walk. It was so nice to have the time to just talk to him. Better yet, the time to just listen to him. With 2 toddlers I think there is a ton I miss during the day...so although one on one time is rare I try to truly treasure it!!! So...on the walk Keegan just stopped and said "Mommy, I love you". I responded by stretching my arms out as far as I could and telling him I loved him "that much". He looked way up in the sky and told me he loved me to the moon.
Does it get any sweeter than that...
So, even though he whined and acted like a goon this morning I am in a better mood just thinking of how sweet he can be when he wants too...and an ready for the the rest of my day:)
How nice it is to know that someone loves you to the moon:)

random thoughts...
A friend mentioned on her blog that she wished she could share all the odd things that happen all day long...
So I am going to try to attempt to do the same and write some of the funny things that happen each day. Hopefully this will be entertaining, but it is ultimatly selfish on my part since I tend to forget everything!!!!
So...here is installment #1 of the things I never could have imagined before having kids.
While the kids were eating doughnuts with sprinkles this morning Reese started crying. I asked Keegan what was wrong with her and he said not to worry. He got out of his chair, got a napkin and was wiping her face. After he was done and Reese was clam he said "Dont worry mommy, Reese just had orange sprinkles in her nose".

wild things:)
We went to the zoo today...and since my kids are SOOOOOO much cuter than the animals I only photographed Keegan and Reese. It was a cool 90 degrees here in AZ today and we are loving getting outside and enjoying the beauitiful weather....
There are also a few pics of Keegan in his new favorite shoes. He has had these since last Christmas and never cared for them much...but now he wont take them off. Yesterday we wore them to the squadron and got lots of praise from the pilots...which has only encouraged him more!!!! Melissa and Mike...remind you of anyone!!!! Remember when Logan wanted me to name Keegan after him???? I am thinking now I should have!!!! Keegan can even rival Logans toddler whining abilities. On a serious note though, liek Logan he is very caring and observant and worries about everyone. Such a sweetheart!!!
And last but not least I captured Reese with barettes in her hair. Many of you know that I will not be truly happy until she has pigtails, but barettes are progress (although you can see that putting them in her hair was a bit of a stretch!!!!
Hmmmmm....I think that is about it for now. We are ready for a nice long weekend and will hopefully find some fun things to do that we can share with all of you in a few days...
Lots of love,,,
Annie, Kurt, Keegan and Reese

Keegan in his sexy boxer shorts and fire boots. My nephew was obsessed with all things having to do with the fire dept at this age and wore his fireboots all over the place. It is amazing to me how much alike the 2 of them are considering they dont get to see each ither very often and there is a 10 year age group.

I am thinking we could make these photos into a calander!!!!!

Reese taking a break from jumping on the couch.

My sweet Keegan.

Reese walking Jack around the house. This is her Arizona Fall outfit. Brown capris and a tank top are about as fall as the clothes are getting so far.

Keegan hanging out at the playground at the zoo.

Reese playing on the slide!!!!!

Reese being goofy for the camera. She is really learning to ham it up!!!!!

As much as I complain about high energy Reese is I can not imagine having anything other than a feisty girl!!!! Can you see how rotten she is by looking at that grin???

And here are the barrettes. I know...I am dreaming here but it made me sooooo happy!!!!! And for now she will even leave them in!!!!!

Again, Keegan at the playground!!!!

And the many faces of Reese today...sweet and contemplative, tired, silly, and taking her shoes off. The child is obsessed with shoes but heaven forbid should they be on her feet for one second more than she would like them to be. The girl knows what she wants. So...boys, in about 30 years when her daddy decides she can date you have your work cut out for you!!! (this message is specifically for lil Napalm, lil Esse and lil Tam, just in case you encourage your sons to date my daughter so you can be inlaws with Kurt and continue to cause trouble long after your AF days!!!!)

some bafoonery:)
The kids building towers with grandpa....they could do this ALL day!!!!
Aunt Debbie and Uncle Steve came over for dinner and brought yummy deserts. Keegan and Reese especially liked the cupcakes. Little did they know that Kurts grandma uses to make the same type of cake when Kurt and Lisa were little and they were pretty fond of them too. Wait...were is the wrong word since Kurt ate SEVERAL!!!! Thanks Debbie!!!
Keegan's chocolate icing goate
My kids are not shy about desert...but Keegan doesnt like to get his hands messy. He came up with a solution!!!!
Lisa fianlly got Reese to sit still long enough for a cute pic. I think you can tell by her face that this pose didnt last long!!!!
Aunt Lisa even let Reese play with her makeup. We didnt take incriminating pics of Keegan who was also sharing in the fun!!!
This is how Boppa has to eat breakfast every morning. I am not even sure if is actually gets anything to eat!!!!
We just bought the Wii Fit and Kurt hooked it up. Somehow Kurt actually convinced the kids that standing on books was the same as standing on the balance board. It was funny to see them imitating Kurt every step of the way. The funniest part of the Wii Fit is that it does a little test to tell you your Wii age. Kurt was doing a happy dance when it told him he was 25. We will not mention what it told me until after Weight Watchers has transformed me into at least my actaul age!!!!
Reese was the conductor of this train ride...
And like always my kids end up sitting on the train table. This doesnt go over so well when we go to Barnes and Noble for story time and they play at the train table in the store:)Tuesday, October 7, 2008
We are NUTS!!!!

Our little Reesey Piecey...
Here are a few cute pics of Reese. She is such a difficult child to describe. She has sooooo much energy and pretty much doesnt sit still unless she is asleep. She climbs like a monkey and has the cutest laugh I have ever heard. She is a BIG TIME daddy's girl!!! She doesnt like to cuddle since that might stand in the way of something exciting yet gives the best hugs and kisses complete with sound effects (growls with hugs and give a BIG mmmmmmmwwwwwaaaaaa with kisses). She hates being away from Keegan yet he also makes her insane!!!! She is very physical and I can already picture her being very athletic. She doenst want to be treated like a baby but when she doenst get her way she says "I baby" in the saddest little voice. Apparently the months of us telling Keegan that "she is the baby" was not unnoticed by out little one!!! She is loves to eat and when she wakes up in the morning or from her nap she typically yells "milk" and "snack" and if you dont attend to her needs immediatley she will throw herself on the ground by the pantry and cry. SHe LOVES animals, especially her puppy dog Jack. She LOVES shoes but also loves being naked. She tries to take her clothes off all day long. Daddy is a little concerned about this tendancy:) She loves Elmo and calls him "Melmo". She has REALLY started talking and repeating words. She is fearless. Her favorite word is "NO" follwed by the sweetest puppy dog eyes you have ever seen!!! Her hair seems to be getting more red everyday...although she is still lacking a little in that dept. I am still waiting for piggy tails...is that too much to ask for??? Reese is very social and greets everyone she passes and then tells them bye bye. I think my favorite thing is that she really thinks she is funny. She will do something and just crack up at herself. She is amazing and exhausting all at once...but I know for a fact that our family just wouldnt be complete without her!!!! As crazy as our lives are with two children so close in age I cant even count how many times we laugh and smile each day (of course we also have to remind ourselves to take deep breaths most days too).
The last time we were home with family it was mentioned that Kurt's Grandma Betty used to say "you can dress her up but you cant take her anywhere". I think that fits my little Reese perfectly. I think Grandma Betty would have liked this firey little red head!!!
I know that there is more that I am not rememering...but it is late and she wore me out today:)
Enjoy the pics:)

When you love something you hold it by the eyeballs right???
Reese with another favorite toy...her brothers robot.
My favorite PJs in the whole world. Look familiar Rebecca??? Kurt is still shocked that Reeses Godfather ever let his own daughter wear jammies that showed Emmas belly:)
Can you see that red hair???
And with those big blue eyes Daddy will certainly have to sit out front in a rocking chair cleaning a shotgun at some point in time in the future!!! Which makes me wonder if you ever really sleep through the night when you are a parent???
May the Force be with you...

Keegan and Reese had a blast with this silly Darth Vader mask the other day. It was a gift for Kurt from my neices and nephew several years ago and Keegan found it and fell in love. Funny enough we didnt even put the batteries in it that makes it change your voice to sounds like Darth Vader himself. We will save that excitement for a true meltdown moment:)
Enjoy...
