Fantasy Land...

This week the kids have been in costume more than regular clothes:)

Here are a few pics of their adventures:)

My lil studmuffin in his flight suit. Keegan has told me that when he is 4 is is going to learn to fly F16's....and when he is 5 he is going to be a Thunderbird. Overachiever just like his daddy:)

Reese looks soooo cute in her flight suit too...but somehow I didnt end up getting a picture of her. whoops:(

I think we might need to head to TX next...not just because we have great friends there but also b.c Reese loves to accessorize any outfit with cowgirl boots!!!!

This is also one of those pics that whispers "daddy is in trouble" in my ear:)

Keegan and one of his ladies:) Sweet Grace is always so welcoming of Keegans affection!!!!

Yes...and wand is a good addition for a fighter pilot:) And yes, I am aware that they are starting to look like twins!!!!!

Once again...DADDY IS IN TROUBLE!!!! This girl can work a pair of heels. She can run in them, ride a tricycle, dance. She did NOT get that gene from her mom who can carely walk like a normal person in flip flops!!!!

My little jedis in training. Amazingly, the light sabers fun did not come to a screaching halt due to tears or injury:) Keegan would tell you that he is dressed up like "Darth Mater" The kiddo loves CARS and he refuses to say Vader!!!!

ACTION SHOT!!!!

FISH FACE:)

So cute. The kids play sooooo well together!!!! The idea of moving makes me sooooo sad...so I have decided to propose to the AF that if they are going to make us move that we get to take all of our friends with us. According to facebook that is just over 300 people:)

UH OH daddy...you are seriously in trouble!!!!! Not good when your little girl can rock a pimp hat!!!!

A little video of the action. This is Keegan and his friend Andrew. Keegan calls him "Annew" which actually kinda sounds like a Star Wars name to me:) He has so much friend with his older, wiser buddy:)

Sadly, Kurt and I have to take full credit for passing on these dance moves (if you can even call them that!!!!) to our poor, poor children:)

more airplanes....

So you would think that a pilots kids would not get excited about airplanes...but our kiddos are still in awe of them. Keegan was begging to go see Uncle Nate's plane the second that he found out that Nate flew a jet here from TX for the weekend.

I feel TERRIBLE that these are the only pics I took of Keegan and his Godfather...but I honestly just enjoyed the weekend and the good company and let go of all ODC tendancies temporarily:)

So, this morning we went to Mesa to say goodbye as Uncle Nate headed back to TX. Keegan learned a new airplane and can now identify the T-38 Talon. I hope he thought the airplane was cool b/c there is a really good chance that daddy might be going to fly this plane in about a year. Not quite our beloved F-16...but it is still pretty cool. There was a students parents there taking pics of their "little boy" taking off and I couldnt help but think back to Kurts first flight in this plane 6 years ago. I thought he was the coolest guy on the planet!!!! As much as we hate to possibly take a break (at least we hope it is just a break) from the Viper, I am thankful that Kurt gets to fly and do what he loves!!!!

It was a nice way to spend Memorial Day morning...going back to our roots and remembering all the people that we have met along the way. Some of those people are not here with us anymore. We are honored to have such amazing and brave friends...and we pray that all the familes left behind find peace in the heroism of their loved ones!!!!

Happy Memorial Day...and we love you Uncle Nate!!!

We had Reese's 2nd bday party yesterday with friends. It was a Little Mermaid party and I think it turned out REALLY cute. I practiced self control and did not order a 3 tier cake this year!!! We bbq'd, swam and the kids just ran around like crazy. To make the day more enjoyable for the mommies and daddies we had margaritas!!!! Of course after a few margaritas I was so relaxed that I forgot to take pics.....whoops!!!! (sidenote...I now HIGHLY encourage margaritas at all kids parties!!!)

Kurt and Uncle Nate probably had the best time since they started partaking in adult beverages at around noon:)

Thanks to everyone for helping make the day so special...we are so blessed to have such wonderful friends!!!!

And now we have a 2 year old on our hands!!!! Pray for us!!!! :)

Our big girl!!!!

Keegan strangling...I mean, hugging Reese. He kept saying "Reese, you are 2...that is SO exciting"

The table

The cake

A few Disney leftovers...

So I found a few more Disney pics...so thought I would post these before the ones of Reese's bday party and Uncle Nates very fun yet not well photographed visit!!!!

These pics are of the kids in full travel mode. After our Ohio trip Keegan insisted on having his own suitcase...so we got rolling backpacks and let them decorate them a little to make them fun. They refused to have any help...so you can only imagine how long it took us to get up to the rooms!!!! They were so proud of themselves though

The other pics are documentation on Reese's rotten side. She looks happy as a clam...but she was actually in trouble. She climbed over a little fence while we were eating dinner and refused to come back. This was her reaction to our threats and attempts and discipline. I have to say that we hear at least once a day that we are in trouble when she is a teenager!!! She really is a sweetie...just thinks she is REALLY funny and of course listens like an average 2 year old.

Enjoy...

Reese saying she is 2

Reese LOVED Goofy. We probably could have stayed in the hotel lobby all day and this statue would have entertained her!!!!

We all scream for....

Mickey Mouse Ice Cream!!!!

No Disney trip would be complete without a Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream bar...and this was how we ended our lasy day at the parks:)

These are by far my favorite pics...and the kids finished every last drop!!!! Boppa ate his so fast we didnt even get a picture!!!

And for the record, they were worth the $5 per ice cream bar, NO DOUBT!!!!!

Lisa is really excited about ANOTHER Mickey shaped confection!!!!

I know I am a little biased...but I think Kurt could be an advertisement for these things!!!

Does it get any better than this???

My little sweetie!!!!

LOVE this one...she is soooo excited about this!!! She kept saying "chocolate" over and over.

R is for Reesie!!!!!

Keegan is learning all of his letters and their sounds...and Reese is trying her best too. They both got very excited outside of California Adventures to see a GIANT letter R. Keegan was a little sad that there was no letter K though.

VROOOMMMM!!!!

Keegan and Reese both LOVE the movie CARS. They were excited to see them in life size...but since this ocured after the character breakfast Keegan kept asking me if they were going to touch him and was VERY concerned when he saw Maters eyes move.

Breakfast with Minnie...

otherwise known as a nightmare to Keegan. When we left he kept saying he didnt want the characters to get to close or touch him. I think he may have been scared for life:) In Keegans defense Minnie Mouse was a little scary and had a very aggressive grip/handshake. I am certain that there was a tiny male gymnast in that costume based on "her" upper arms!!!! Keegans defense mechanism was to just keep eating and try to ignore them completely (you can see this in most of the pics)...which makes me think we have a stress eater on our hands with Keegan. I will apologize to him now for passing along this trait...and pray that he has his fathers metabolism!!!!

Reese was our typical social butterfly:) She blew kisses, gave high fives, and was really intruiged by having breakfast with a bunch of weirdos. Hmmmm....should I be more worried about Keegans stress eating or Reeses appreciation for odd people????

Once again...Boppa was scoring points with the Disney ladies!!!!

My favorite pics are of the kids eating their Mickey waffles...although Lisa was by far the most excited about her waffles in the shape of a mouse head!!!!

enjoy...

mmmmmm....syrup!!!! Keegan had 3 little cups of syrup with breakfast. Hey...you gotta get your $20 worth somehow!!!!

I dont see you...I am just eating my bacon...nothing weird is going on...lalalalalala

more bacon...there couldnt possibly be a bear and a donkey behind me!!!!

Lisa talked about Mickey waffles from the time she arrived in AZ...can you see her pure joy????

Good thing nonnie isnt the jealous type:)
Keegan started SHOVELING food into his mouth by the time Minnie arrived. When she tried to tickle him on the neck he FREAKED!!!!

soooooo cute!!!!!

The only reason we took a pic with this guy was b/c we thought he was Captain Morgan. How dissappointing to find out he was Capt Hook. Hey...no judging...we are a fighert pilot family:)

Keegan has officially started to melt down!!!!

Reese enjoying her time with the Fairy Godmother!!!! (do you capitalize the G in Godmother when is refers to a Disney character??? And yes, this is the result of thousands of dollars spent by my parents on a Catholic private school education!!!)

The D10 family

Keegan has resorted to smashing his face into his plate he is sooooo upset by the presence of Minnie Mouse!!!!!Poor kid. And since I know you are all wondering....YES, we did laugh at him!!!!
