This past Thursday my sister in law Lisa lost the true love of her life, Mark Joseph Rohr. He was 34 and died unexpectedly in his sleep. He made Lisa happier that I have ever seen her and I would do anything to take away the pain that she is feeling right now. Even though his life ended WAY too suddenly I am so glad that she got to experience such and amazing love with him. There is no greater gift than to love with all your heart. I know Mark was thankful for the love Lisa gave him, and after just a few minutes anyone knew that Mark was over the moon for my amazing sister in law!!!! What an amazing gaurdian angel she has watching over her now!!!!
Tomorrow is his funeral and will be a very sad day in our family. We all loved him and looked forward to many years of family events with his bright smile and contageous laughter around. There is nothing I could possibly say that could possibly sum up the feelings that go along with this type of loss. Please keep Lisa and the rest of Marks family in your prayers and pray that with time they will heal and be left with volumes of amazing memories that will overshadow the pain.
In Marks honor we in the D10 family have officially become Cleveland Indians fans. Many of you know how we tend to support many baseball teams. Kurt grew up loving the Cubbies and after a trip to Boston and purchasing a very cute hat I became a Red Sox fan. Of course being Ohioans we also loved the Indians. Mark truly was one of the biggest Indians fans I have ever met. So...we have made it official that we are now solely an Indians family (although I bet Kurt MAY slip on his Cubs hat every once in a while when no one is watching). We will think of Mark every time we see a game...and we will be sure to head to some Spring Training games at their new training facility in our area of town. I know this may seem silly, but keeping peoples memories alive and thinking of them often is the highest form of respect as far as I am concerned.
So...Aunt Lisa, in addition to keeping my children in adorable GAP jeans, from this day forward I expect them to have their Tribe gear also!!!!
Mark,,,we love you and you will neve be forgotten!!!!

That was beautiful, Annie. I remember meeting Lisa in Clovis, and if Mark was good enough for her he must have been a wonderful man. She's in my prayers.
